WHAT ARE THE ROE & CO WHISKEY DISTILLERY OPENING HOURS?

Our distillery will be open to visitors all year from 11 am – 7 pm with last admission at 5pm, 7 days a week. We will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day.

Directions

On Foot:

Start point: Dublin city centre

(Journey time 20 mins)

  1. Head west on College Green towards Grafton Street.
  2. Follow the road until you pass Christ Church Cathedral on your right.
  3. Continue onto Thomas Street and find us on the right hand side of the street at 92 James’s Street, Dublin 8.

By Bus:

Start point: Dublin city centre

(Journey time 10 mins)

  1. Bus 123 from O'Connell Street runs every 8-10 minutes.
  2. Bus 123 from Dame Street runs every 8-10 minutes.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE TO VISIT THE DISTILLERY?

Yes. Since we’re a working distillery and an alcohol experience the minimum age requirement for visitors is 18 years old.

WILL I HAVE TO SHOW ID TO PROVE MY AGE?

Yes. A valid government photo ID is required.

CAN CHILDREN COME ON THE TOUR?

Due to being a working distillery and an alcohol attraction children are not permitted.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR?

We recommend 90 minutes to cover your shift, as well as leaving enough time to enjoy your complimentary post shift cocktail in our Power House Bar.

HOW OFTEN DO TOURS RUN?

Tours run every hour on the hour and we suggest you book your ticket online and in advance to not be disappointed.

CAN I BOOK A PRIVATE EVENT?

THE TOUR

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TOUR?

- POWER HOUSE TOUR: Let us take you on the Roe & Co journey – from grain to glass! You’ll start your tour by getting a tour of our working distillery and learn the art of blending Roe & Co whiskey through a sensorial tasting experience. From there you’ll enter our Flavours Room where we’ll teach you about the 5 key pillars of taste that make up a cocktail menu. Once you discover your flavour profile our world class bartenders will carefully craft a bespoke cocktail that you can relax and enjoy in our Power House Bar.

CAN I GO INTO THE DISTILLERY?

Our tours include a fully immersive walkthrough of our state of the art still house where you’ll get to see our working distillery from a raised walkway for accessibility and safety.

WILL I GET TO SAMPLE THE WHISKEY?

Of course! Every guest will have the opportunity to try our signature Roe & Co blended whiskey, you’ll get to experience Roe served both neat and in other exciting forms depending on your tour choice.

CAN I BUY WHISKEY AT THE DISTILLERY?

There’s no better place to buy Roe & Co than in our flagship Roe & Co retail store where you can find blended whiskey, exclusive rotational distillery offerings, as well as the opportunity to draw directly from the cask for an exclusive bottling, which you can personalise for the perfect gift.

IS THERE REALLY A PEAR TREE ONSITE?

Yes. The pear tree, known to be the oldest fruit bearing tree in Ireland, sits in front of St. Patrick’s Tower, the only remaining building from the Old George Roe Distillery. We use the Tree & the Tower as symbolic homages and living links to bring light to the original Roe Distillery’s pioneering success and the impact it had on the Irish Whiskey industry during its golden era.

THE TICKET

HOW DO I BUY A TICKET?

Tickets can be purchased online or upon arrival at reception. We strongly encourage booking online in advance as tour spaces are limited and we wouldn’t want you miss out on our world class whiskey experience.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

There’s only 16 spaces per tour so we strongly encourage booking in advance to secure your preferred tour time.

IS THERE A GROUP DISCOUNT?

Yes, please contact our bookings team at hello@roeandcowhiskey.com for groups of 10 or more.

CAN I GET A REFUND ON MY TICKET?

Refund requests must be made in writing 72 hours in advance of the tour time in question and are subject to our T&C’s which can be viewed here.

WILL YOU SEND ME A RECEIPT?

Yes. You will receive a receipt by email upon confirmation of your booking.

ACCESS, PARKING AND REFRESHMENTS

IS THE BUILDING WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. The building and tour is wheelchair accessible.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

We provide a limited number of disabled parking spaces on site which is on a first come first served basis. For all other guest parking there is on street parking.

IS THERE A RESTAURANT?

We do not have a food offering on site, however there is a coffee shop located in our lobby. There are many fantastic restaurants, bars, and coffeeshops in the local area that we’d be delighted to give you recommendations and directions to.

CAN I GET REFRESHMENTS AT THE DISTILLERY?

Yes. We offer soft drinks and high-end non-alcoholic cocktails. Our bar staff will be on hand to guide you through the selection on offer.
